High-tech tank top doubles as yoga coach
Fitness and fashion technology come together in Move, a body-tracking garment that can tell when you're slouching and when you're stretching.

(Credit: Electricfoxy)Fitness technology is hot. Wearable technology is hot. It was just a matter of time before the two got together and had a love child. That baby is Move, a prototype technology garment that tracks your movements.
This isn't the first time we've checked out an imaginative tech fashion product from Jennifer Darmour of Electricfoxy. Her Zip jacket integrated a volume control into the zipper.

(Credit: Electricfoxy)Built-in electronics in the tank top not only collect data with stretch-and-bend sensors, but also give a little physical nudge when your body position needs a correction. It's kind of like having somebody politely telling you not to slouch.
The Move garment is designed to connect to a mobile app that allows you to see all the details of your movements and track your performance over time. All that data can be used to correct your angles and work on more efficient movements.
Move makes sense for activities like pilates and yoga, where you want to get your downward dog just right, but Darmour also envisions it being used by dancers and baseball pitchers and for physical therapy, and golf swings. The tank top is still in prototype form, so there's no information on availability or pricing.
