Now, here's a simple design that's really ingenious. The Compound Body 2 is one of many handiworks from Korean designer Yu Kwang Soo and his speaker furniture collection. This particular piece hides a stereo with custom cutouts for the boomboxes, control knobs, and an iPod dock within a wooden desk.

In addition, the table can be folded to reduce its footprint, while the entire concoction is collapsible for transportation. For this matter, a shoulder strip and handrails are included for mobility.

Apparently, some of the inspiring designer's offerings have been showcased at the recent Seoul Living Design fair, too. Click here to check out his portfolio, ranging from a spring-powered mechanized chair to an LED-lit cabinet.
