We've read about the upcoming Android-based Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 too many times to count. There was a video of its interface, images published by Expansys, even leaked specifications. Well, those speculations may soon come to an end if the latest teaser from the Japanese-Swedish company is anything to go by. If you visit www.sonyericsson.com/whatsnext, the November 3 date is prominently displayed with a few lines of text under it.

Sometimes there's a thin line between extraordinary and the magical. Did we cross it?

With a bold statement like that, it'd better be something worthy of the hype. We'll be monitoring this like a hawk, so check back for the full story come November 3.

With HTC, Motorola, Samsung, et al, coming on strong with Android, Sony Ericsson can't afford to wait much longer.

It will be interesting to see which mobile operator in the U.S. picks it up (assuming one does). T-Mobile, Verizon & Sprint are certainly busy filling up their portfolios with Android smartphones these days.

Several Android 2.0 phones with 4.1 inch widescreen format , some OLED is just ASTOUNDING !
They are coming so fast and furious , it`s like a dream.
Eric Schmidt said there would be lots of new phones and I guess we have to believe him now.

I was about to buy a Motorola Clique to replace my G1 but I'm waiting anxiously for this. Please please tell me it will be T-mobile compatible. I'm not switching carriers but I want this phone NOW!! Don't let me down Sony Ericsson! This phone is groundbreaking for the Android platform. As a start make it available across both GSM platforms. Nothing has the screen size, Android 2.0, 8 megapixel camera and so on.

Gotta have it!

Are you sure 3rd of November is to announce the X3/X10 phone?

Expansys website indicates 3rd of November as a release date for the X2 model:

I think by now we all can tell the difference between the WinMo X2 and the Android X3/X10. The X3/X10 will most likely be my next phone, and this and the Motorola Droid really kick some azz. I'm so glad Android is progressing so nicely.
