Wii goes places (sort of) with the Cyberbike

The sky's the limit when it comes to third-party Wii products, so long as they're in matching white. We've seen Wii lightsabers. We've even seen dumbbells. What we didn't expect was this accessory--a full-size stationary bike that looks to be built in the same plastic-ky shell as most Wii peripherals. Will the Cyberbike endure, in every sense of the word? Beats us, since this one's headed for Europe only in January 2010.

One more thing that takes up too much room in the house.

Why not just Velcro (duct tape?) your existing wii remote to a pedal of your existing stationary bike?

I agree with jcmark42 -- it takes up too much space, especially since I already have a stationary bike in my house. I certainly don't want one specifically for the Wii. I've always wondered why stationary bike manufacturers don't work with Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony to create exercise bikes that have the capability to integrate with certain games?

I've always wanted to play Paperboy while riding a stationary bike. I play Mario Kart while riding, too, and it's somewhat funny that I tend to pedal much faster when I'm wanting to pass other karts near the finish line. It seems like there would be large potential for pedaling speed to control game speed in games.

I've put my Wii-mote on my shoe while "jogging" in Wii Fit -- that's the closest integration I've been able to come up on my own.
