Unless you're a speed reader you'll never make it through the written version of How We Test TVs in five minutes, nine seconds. Lucky for you, that's exactly how long it takes to view the abbreviated version on video.

We have a pretty nice AV testing facility here at CNET, dust bunnies aside, and for the first time I'll take you through it, describing all the ins, outs, and what-have-yous associated with testing televisions. The best part? My awkwardness and lame jokes are ameliorated by guide Natalie Del Conti, who finally gets me to admit how much the couches cost.

David Katzmaier reviews HDTVs for CNET. E-mail David or follow him on Twitter @katzmaiercnet.

Thanks David Katzmaier and to all the people at CNET for taking the time to review the many products that you cover here. We might not agree with every review but that comes down to money personal preference. You do give us many different perspectives on the products that you review. Much food for thought I thank you.
