Friday Poll: What should robots never do?
CNET News Poll
Please, no more than this.
(Credit: Taiwan Tech)Here at Crave, we like to keep our eyes out for the latest in robots. Just this week, for example, we told you about kissing robots and a robot that can solve Sudoku puzzles. And really, the wacky-robot news never ends.
In recent months, we've featured a fashion model robot, a sunflower robot, a mind-controlled robot, and an eerie robobaby, to name just a few.
Advancements in modern robotics amaze, amuse, and occasionally appall, which got us wondering. What should robots never, ever be allowed to do? Vote in our poll, and if we missed anything (given the endless possibilities, we're sure that we did), leave a comment below.

Amen
Can't run Linux, because they would be too hard to manage and configure and too technical for humans to interact with.
Anything to get under the skin of us mere, subordinate humans...
(pun intended)
1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey any orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
And then there is the "zeroth" law:
0. A robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.
If only humans could follow these laws...
Define harm.
A robot may not inflict stress on a human being beyond the level that that human needs for growth or, through inaction, allow a human being to be stressed beyond that point.
Some injury or harm is necessary for us to learn, grow, and develop.
Law Zero: A robot may not injure humanity, or, through inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.
Law One: A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm, unless this would violate a higher order law.
