Inside CNET Labs 50: It 'doesn't' matter if you're black or white

by Eric Franklin

Yep, I had this poster on my wall as a kid, so eff the haters.

(Credit: Sony Music Entertainment)

First up, Dong and I share of memories of the King of Pop. If you've had enough MJ for the last few weeks, then I suggest skipping 20 minutes into the episode as we don't really hold back on our unabashed adulation of the man.

Afterward, it gets all racial up in this piece as we discuss Dong's current obsession with black jokes and why everyone hates them. Also, since he's been in Vietnam for three weeks, he catches us up a bit on the goings on there.

BTW, yes I did say "teef," not teeth.

Eric Franklin refused to write a bio, saying, "Why are you bothering me about this bio business again? If I wanted people to know more about me, I'd send them to the Inside CNET Labs Podcast" (shameless plug). E-mail Eric.

If I had but one wish,
it would be the same as yours.

If only I could share but one gift upon the world.
This one single gift would be the same as yours.

I wish the gift of life.
All right.

If only none would die.
I wish no one to experience poverty in life.
Would that really be a beautiful world?

There would still be crime. Right?
There would still be discrimination. Right?
Alternatively, do we have these problems, due the fact we all desire life?

If I could change my wish,
the change would be the same as yours.

If only I could bring peace into the world.
There would be unity between all men, women, boys and girls.

I a child
grew up and embraced The King of Pop, named Mike.
Michael Jackson with my child is flying high.
The people we love and lost are with our God on High.
Now close your eyes in silent prayer.
...............................................................................
...............................................................................

If only tears could heal the world.
Just think "what a beautiful world."
If only love could keep everyone alive.
Just think, "What a beautiful world."

People can say a black man cannot be the father of a blond haired child.
I say,
a father gains his badge by caring for that child's life.

Shh,
ignorant person,
did you not know that God is listening to you?

Shh,
jealous person,
the one you speak harshly about,
may be the person standing guard at God's Doors.

Do not worry;
I am sure Michael Jackson is blowing a kiss from Heaven right about now.

After 5 years, Firefox faces new challenges

Mozilla helped reshape the Web since releasing Firefox 1.0 five years ago. Now it's got a reawakened Microsoft and Google Chrome to reckon with.

There's a map for that: GPS or smartphone?

Almost every handset comes with mapping software these days, but standalone GPS devices are becoming more affordable than ever.
