The image above pretty much says it all. Creative Labs is celebrating Christmas in July with deep discounts on everything from headsets to sound cards to MP3 players. It seems like nearly every gadget is on sale, with varying levels of "instant savings," but the big news to me is the 16GB Zen Mozaic for just $110. That's the cheapest I've seen for an MP3 player with that much memory, and the Mozaic is certainly no slouch in the features or sound quality department. For more information on this device, check out the full review at CNET Reviews.

For more than five years, Jasmine France has covered a variety of tech products for CNET--from scanners to keyboards to GPS devices--but she's happiest where she is now: sitting atop a pile of MP3 players, "testing" every music service known to man, and jamming a variety of earbuds in every shape and color into her absurdly small ears. Jasmine, you are right, I just picked this little beauty up while in Singapore on holiday at about this price. I like the inbuilt speaker for use with audio books from audible, which work with this unit.

It will be my new running unit. Bought the armband and protective case which was also available at discounted price. It is surprisingly small. As you note in the podcast, the raised buttons are useful.

The sound quality seems as good as my Zen player. When paired with my trusty portapros, I belive I am listening to some of the best quality sound on the tarmac.

Jasmine, you might find this interesting - I have been struggling to find anything suitable for running as good as the portapro's. Might have just done so. AKG have released a nice set of headphones, the AKG - K 420, which sound great and also have the foam on the pads just like the portapros. I believe for running foam is the only way to go. I think both these headphones are better than the sennheiser PX 100s. I also picked up the AKG 450 while on hols in Singapore, not for running but general listening. They are a high quality and beautifully packaged headphone. Appreciate your show.
