This one slipped through the cracks Tuesday with all the Palm Pre madness, but we're pretty sure more than a few phone fans will still find this news of interest.

A Sprintusers.com reader says the HTC Touch Pro2 will be available from Sprint in mid-June and the HTC Snap will arrive a month later. We're not sure of the reader's source, so as always, take this rumor with a grain of salt.

However, HTC did confirm via Twitter that the Windows Mobile smartphone is North America bound and the above picture looks pretty legit.

The HTC Touch Pro2 debuted at GSMA 2009 in February and is the successor to the HTC Touch Pro.

They need to hurry up and release this phone. I currently have the HTC Touch Pro through Sprint. Been waiting on this for the bigger screen and other improvements. Hopefully it has much better battery life than the original. I cant even keep touch flo 3D on it I dont bring my charger to work

Unless they have done a LOT of work to TouchFlo, they can keep it.

TouchFlo...pretty? Yes. Functional...Absolutely not!

Yes! HTC Touch Pro2, here I come... as soon as I can afford it... DANGIT.

And, oh, is that black plastic? Ugh. The original silver looks so much better.

The new touch pro 2 runs windows 6.5 and it runs pretty smooth. They had one at Tech-ed this year and let us play with it a little. I am looking forward into trading in my Touch Pro for the second version it runs way fast the camera is 5 mp and you dont have to wait 10 seconds for it to take a picture.

I've had my HTC Mogul for almost 2yrs now and I'm dying for this latest-tech pdaphone. But I'm concerned that it's not a Windows Mobile 7 phone nor will it be upgradeable to it. But to tell the truth I likely wouldn't jump at a WM7 v1.0 phone anyway, best to wait for 7.1 so that'll give me two years with the Touch Pro2 before I get cell-lust for the next gen phone.

I also have the Mogul, I ordered it the first day it came available on the sprint website. I wanted to get the touch pro but decided to wait for pro 2 once I saw all the videos and demos on htc's website. For those having trouble with their touch pros look into a cooked Rom that gets rid of the bloat of windows mobile while making everything else run faster. I did with my mogul.

I had been looking at the Pre but this seems to beat the daylights out of the Pre in every way.

Palm Pre has no modem...I'm hoping the Pro2 would have it.

Depends on what you want it for and what service plan you have!! I do like this for the bigger screen and all and the extra memory you can add(even though I never really added any to my old phone lol so probably doesn't matter) I bet the Pre has a much nicer touch screen and other features but for me on the SERO plan i think This is the best deal out there Definitely as upgrade to my current Q.

Waiting patiently as well. Love my Diamond Pro, just wish the screen was bigger like the Pro2. Sorry IPhone and other soft key device owners but my vote is still for the old fogie that likes that hard key feel. I have seen videos comparing the two and it is interesting that one or the other is victorious depending on the app launched. Just wish I could find a firm release date!!!-(
