Cowon is throwing some extra heat behind the S9 touch-screen portable media player it launched in January. The company recently rolled out a 32GB version of the S9, complementing the existing 8GB and 16GB models. The new 32GB model will set you back $299 ($100 less than the 32GB iPod Touch), and is available directly from Cowon or from Amazon.

Existing Cowon S9 owners also get a treat in the form of new firmware. Version 2.30 of the Cowon S9 firmware brings many little tweaks to the user interface, a new notepad utility, improved video playback for high-resolution videos, and a few bug fixes. You can get your hands on the new firmware from Cowon's support page.

The following product mentioned is available.

On Sale Now: $259.99 - $260.99

i like the S9 and it seems to be more of a die hard audio player than the ipod touch but i think i'm still a sucker for the fanciness of the ipod! good comparison of features here... http://www.ipodmp3players.co.uk/page/6/iPod-touch-vs-Cowon-S9-technical-specs.html

s9 has a better sound than ipod even better with its new firmware (that has jet effect 3.0)
but ipod has a better interface & more sensitive touch and its a bit thiner ,s9 dosnt has browser & wifi
in ipod you can play better graphical games & so many great utility's
i believe if you want to be entertained by your player buy ipod if you only care about sound buy cowon :1)cowon q5w 2)a3 3) o2 4)s9 5)d2+
if you ask me i have the lowest model in this list & I prefer it to ipod (but with having a min=100 $ headphone to experience all cowons great effects & powerful out put )
this could help :
