Not for big people?

(Credit: CNET)

A couple of days ago, Anand Chandrasekher, Intel senior vice president and general manager of the Ultra Mobility Group, said, in essence, that Netbooks--one of the fastest-growing tech markets in the world right now--are for kids. Which is to say the mini-laptops are not for adults. We, of course, politely disagree.

But now we must wonder: what tech is for grown-ups? What are we expected to use if not Netbooks without drawing snickers from Intel? If we missed anything, please let us know in the TalkBack section below.

what about a 13 to 15 inch multitouch pc tablet-WINDOWS or OX-, it probably will have a more professional grown up look. If they sell for under $1000(very unlikely specially with the adamo & macbook air being too pricey) i will buy one right away.

How about 14" WXGA+ MacBook based on Core i7 55xx seris with 12GB RAM with ATI 4870 mobile version of Graphics card, 512GB SSD? Plus other goodies like iSight etc...

I think that is the ADULT version of Netbook

we all wish but until they can make a super batery to run the core i7's we are out of luck maybe a 17 inch version might work i havint don my research on the ati 4870 mobile graphic card (i know nothing about it therefor the next part is an assumption) but sinceit is a mobile graphics card (correct me if i am wrong) the graphics probably wont be as good as some might like but to each there own

i personnally would be content with the current 15 inch macbook pro (which is what i have)
