Casio took an unusual approach to confirming the existence of a rumored Exilim camera phone: a steamy YouTube video Thursday. I did not have the... uh... privilege of watching said video since it looks like the video has been taken down, but word is it showed a young woman in the shower with the phone in hand, to show that it's water-resistant.

The Casio Exilim phone will apparently be from Verizon Wireless, and looks very slim, plus it has a 5.1-megapixel camera on the back. This is the first we've ever seen any kind of pseudo-official mention of the phone, but this is certainly in line with the rumors we've heard about the Exilim.

You can even take a sneak peek at it on PCD's BuyWirelessNow site.

Unlike the Samsung Memoir and the Motorola Zine ZN5, which are the only two 5-and-up megapixel camera phones available with a U.S. carrier, the Casio Exilim is a flip phone, where you can rotate the display so you can take a self-portrait of yourself--or at least it looks that way in the video.

No word on any more spec or features, and definitely no pricing or availability information yet, but seeing as this was let out of the bag, we expect we'll see more about the Exilim phone in the near future.

Great. Now we'll have hundreds of teenagers getting into trouble for taking their pictures in the shower with a waterproof camera.
