Just in time for this troubled economy, Boost Mobile (one of the few MVNOs still standing) (a subsidiary of Sprint Nextel), has announced a new unlimited monthly plan.

It costs a flat rate of $50 a month, and it includes unlimited daytime, evening, and weekend calls; unlimited texts; unlimited wireless Web; and unlimited use of Boost Mobile's walkie-talkie network. If you're into Boost Mobile's products, this sounds like a pretty sweet deal.

Boost Mobile is NOT AN MVNO. Boost is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sprint Nextel Corporation. Meaning that it's a division of Sprint. There's a BIG difference.

I looked up my Zip for the service and it said $50 was only for calls, $60 with text, and $70 a month unlimited with Web too. And it says service under that deal is only in one's home zone. Sounds a bit headliney.

I don`t think it has been rolled out yet...
This week Boost Mobile, a Sprint division with its own brand of wireless service, said it soon would begin selling a $50 unlimited wireless calling and data package, a move that "may well set off some significant price-cutting by wireless carriers," according to the New York Times.

Hi ? Nichole Cappitelli here from Boost Mobile. You are correct - Boost?s new nationwide Monthly Unlimited plan hasn?t rolled out quite yet! On January 22, 2009, new and existing Boost Mobile customers will be able to take advantage of unlimited anytime calling, text messaging, wireless Web and walkie-talkie services for a flat monthly rate of just $50 on the Nextel National Network. The new unlimited nationwide plan offers service to customers in 15,800 cities throughout the United States ? all with no additional Telecom Taxes, or activation, roaming, traveling or long distance fees.

Other monthly unlimited pricing currently featured on Boost Mobile?s Web site refers to ?Unlimited by Boost? which is currently only available on the CDMA network. Boost?s new nationwide Monthly Unlimited plan will operate on the robust Nextel National Network.

We hope this clears things up a bit! On January 22 visit www.boostmobile.com or call customer care at 1-888-BOOST-4U to sign up for Boost Mobile Monthly Unlimited.

Hi Nichole, can you (or anyone else) confirm the cell phone models that will be offered with this new plan?
Thank you, NcryptoWorkz.
