Remember the LG Vu? Yeah, that's one of the first phones to offer AT&T's live Mobile TV service. We haven't heard a lot about it since its debut oh-so-many months ago, but apparently AT&T is set to reintroduce it to the public with a brand new purple hue that looks like a wine color.

If you'll recall, the LG Vu has a really nice 3-inch-wide touch-screen display, with HSDPA, and a 2.0-megapixel camera. It'll likely still be available for around $100, but we oddly can't find it for sale on AT&T's online store. Perhaps they've sold out and are awaiting new a shipment? We'll see.

I own the Vu and its a great phone EXCEPT... The screen is absolutely unreadable in the sun. I have owned many other cellphones over the years and the Vu is by far the WORST screen outdoors.

If you use your phone outside often you might want to consider a different phone, otherwise its fine.

Where can this rare purple Vu be found? I'm switching to AT&T in a few days and I would love to have a wine colored Vu rather than just a black.

dustypages, I have the original black, too and love it!

The only place I've been able to find the 'wine' is at Wirefly, and they're offering it free for current and new AT&T customers. Here's the link: http://www.wirefly.com/template/simpleautocontent.aspx?pageid=3558&r=wdclinkshare

No one else seems to have it, so I hope they don't run out before I can get one!

After 5 years, Firefox faces new challenges

Mozilla helped reshape the Web since releasing Firefox 1.0 five years ago. Now it's got a reawakened Microsoft and Google Chrome to reckon with.

There's a map for that: GPS or smartphone?

Almost every handset comes with mapping software these days, but standalone GPS devices are becoming more affordable than ever.
