OK, we hate to be teases, but heck, why not? The holidays are just a couple of days away, and we're feeling a little frisky.

On Tuesday morning, a new smartphone is set to debut, and we've had a couple of weeks to check out the device. Unfortunately, we can't say much since we're bound by secrecy by the manufacturer and carrier. However, if you check back on Crave and CNET on Tuesday morning at 6 a.m. PST/9 a.m. EST, you'll get all the details, including a full review and photo gallery.

Anyone have any guesses as to what this mystery smartphone might be?

I change my guess to the Garmin phone.

I'd be shocked if it was the Meizu, though there have been a lot of pics of it surfacing recently. From what I've seen, it can remain vaporware for all i care.

Somehow I think you mean 6am PST / 9am EST -- not the other way around.

That is indeed what was meant. Fixed now. Thanks!

Yo Bonnie, 9am Pacific is noon eastern. 6am eastern is 3am Pacific. So which is it?

My guess, Garmin Nuvifone for AT&T. Not supposed to be here until 2009, but maybe they got done early.

My bad. It's been a long day and getting my time zones all mixed up but thanks to Leslie for fixing that. Keep on guessing, everyone! No one's got it yet. :)

It seems like Palm hasn't come out with a new device in a long time. My bet is Palm.

Anything that will substitue for the disappointing Storm would be great news...

It certainly seems strange that the best service provider can`t come up with something even remotely close to the i-phone. If they did I would doubt AT&T could remain in business.

I think the BlackJack I/II have now been replaced by the Samsung Epix - http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/samsung-epix-at-t/4505-6452_7-33351203.html

Definitely agree with prov1ml. I heard that the CDMA Omnia is coming to Verizon by the 26th, so it looks like it's finally time and that it's been kept under wraps pretty well. And I think it's been said that the HTC Touch HD isn't coming to the US.

@T03:

Zune Phone Zune Phone Zune Phone

On a more serious note... any HTC phone that will cause the price of the HTC Touch Pro on Sprint to drop. I've been wanting to switch, but a $300 phone is not quite in my budget.

The price of the phone is nothing in comparison to the cost of the plan over 24 months...

they already have a review for the omnia, so they probably won't make a whole new review for a carrier bound one

i think it's a bit too early for that, since it just came out in June. But seriously, Sprint needs more high end phones for the holiday season. They can't count on HTC to bail them out entirely.

It will undoubtedly be another touch screen device that fails to rival the popularity and functionality of an over rated apple.
