Attention T-Mobile customers: if you own a RIM BlackBerry Curve 8320, you might want to head on over to the carrier's Web site and download a nice little software upgrade for the smartphone. We think it'll be worth it.

The BlackBerry 4.5 update brings some notable features, including video recording capabilities, HTML e-mail support, and music- and video-streaming capabilities. You also get attachment viewing and editing, a new browser design, and improved download and data performance. The update is available now for free download. As with all software upgrades, be sure to back up your data.

Will AT&T ever release a similar update for their Blackberry Curve? And how about an update that allows for MMS messaging without a data plan? To my understanding, T-Mobile allows their Blackberry customers to do so, and it is charged as a regular text message. What's up with that?

God Bless Bonnie Cha for writing up this post ;) I had the T-Mobile Dash (HTC Excalibur) & lost it after having too good of a night out on the town. Since then i've been debating on picking up the Curve. After waiting for the G1 for some time I think i've finally mad eup my mind. Thanks ;)

Funny that you mention that the TMo 8320 doesn't have HMTL email and DocsToGo when you yourself reported here: http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10071636-1.html
That with the OS upgrade to 4.5 it has all that. Tsk, tsk.
Not to mention it's been known to folks all over CrackBerry and Pinstack, to mention just two sites, for quite some time. Most of those members are running around with leaked beta OS's all the time, myself included ;)
