The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, one of the most anticipated cell phones of the year, has received the nod from the Federal Communications Commission. Because the FCC has to certify every phone sold in the United States, not to mention test its SAR rating, the agency's online database offers a lot of sneak peeks to those who dig. And to save you the trouble, Crave has combed through the database for you. Here are a selection of filings from the past week on new and upcoming cell phones. Click through to read the full report.

Not trying to burst anyone's bubble, but the Blackberry bold cleared the FCC in July and still hasn't been released. This news is no indication of when it'll be released.

Well, at least the USA is one step closer to getting the xperia x1, which I have to say is a relief, because it seems like England is no where close. A tiny step is about all I would ever expect out of anything concerning the Xperia X1 anymore.
