When Nokia introduced its new 5800 Xpress Music on Thursday, it promised that the device would ship to Europe and Asia during the fourth quarter of this year. Reuters, however, is now reporting that the touch-screen music phone will miss the holiday shopping season in most markets.

According to the report, the 5800 will arrive only in India, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Russia, and Spain by the end of the year. Other countries, including the United States and Canada, will have to wait until 2009.

Nokia phone is notorous in slow speed. I was deeply dissapointted over their few models such as N7x series and E series. Their CPU speed uses low end cheap damn CPU, governed with the Symbian OS that makes Nokia a lousy choice.

I am currently using iPhone, no intend to invest on Nokia at least for the next few years until Nokia is convincing me.

An open letter to Nokia and all manufacturers about their cell phone: they stink.

This is from someone out here in the trenches just trying to make a call: it stinks.

I like Nokia and its products, generally they are better than the rest. but phones have become so feature-laden that they're just toys anymore. Why do you cater so much to children?

I'm an adult and above other things i need a phone that makes calls reliably. Reception has become a major issue across the board with all phones by all makers, but damn, they have nice cameras and music players (that's sarcasm, btw).

I need a phone with good reception that works as close to anywhere as possible. I don't need a computer in my hand, and I won't use text to communicate - it's a phone, remember? It uses the most efficient means of communication that have evolved over centuries of anthropology: the human voice. Features are nice, but please don't forget that you make PHONES, not typewriters nor iPods.

thanks, trying to be a loyal customer here.
