Help CBS Interactive make a great show about 'World of Warcraft'

by Jason Jenkins

When we at Crave UK are not mua-ha-ha-ing at each other, dreaming of world domination, we like to make new things.

But before we go off and get too excited about anything new, we like to ask people what they think of it first. So the very sharpest brains in the business--at CBS Interactive, our owner--have selected you, the humble Crave reader, as the ideal demographic to offer your respected opinions on this latest wheeze to come out of the corporate megalith.

It's a show all about World of Warcraft--you know, that game where you can pretend to be a dwarf and make shoes for a living. Or something.

This is the pilot episode, so we're looking for comments and suggestions. What do you think of the idea? Did it make you laugh? Did it cover the right sort of things? Anything else you'd like to add? Please leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Any help or advice you could give us would be very much appreciated. We'll love you always--honest.

It's short. If you decide to keep producing these things, keep them under five minutes.

Content is good, if dated. I realize this is the pilot episode, but I hope that future episodes will deal with Wrath of the Lich King, not an old patch. With all the information available on the web, you'll have to flash that CBS Interactive badge around to get at least one juicy scoop from Blizzard each episode to keep people tuning in.

Complaining about players does nothing to help me. If you've played WoW for more than a few weeks, you know all you need to know about naked Night Elves, Barrens chat, spawn campers and ninja looters. Perhaps provide some tips on dealing with troublesome players, e.g., chat filtering add-ons and such. Another interesting feature would be to get an actual GM's view on the issue; how often do they kick players, suspend accounts, and otherwise mete out their wrath on PITA players.

An episode that touches on the advantages of gaining reputation with various factions could be useful. Perhaps a recurring segment would highlight a new faction each episode. Everyone debates Aldor versus Scryers rep -- why not try to shine some light on that?

The human talks like an orc, the orc sounds like an ogre, and the nelf has a marginally offensive name. Cheers!
