We've brought you the details on the T-Mobile G1 with the Google Android OS and now we present it in pictures and video. CNET Executive Editor David Carnoy attended the G1's New York City launch event Tuesday where he gave the phone a good once-over in our First Look video. Check it out to get his impression of the handset's design and features

Meanwhile, when she wasn't providing extensive analysis of the G1 on Tuesday, Associate Editor Nicole Lee composed this photo gallery of the G1 in all its glory.

The T-Mobile G1 will go on sale October 22. We'll have a review just as soon as we can get a phone in our hands.

Yo, guys. The greatest do-it-all phone in the universe can't rehabilitate reception that sucks.

In case you were wondering, the T-Mobile G1 does not have a screen with muti-touch capabilities.

The design isn't anywhere near the sexiness of an iphone. Apple shouldn't worry too much as anyone into lifestyle gadgets can tell this design will never beat an iphone.

I guess I just don't have the high fasion eye, because I don't know what makes a phone "sexy." that seems to be the word of choice thrown around in all the blogs. A plain black rectangle with one button is sexy? A plain white rectangle with 2 buttons and a ball is not sexy? If we're talking about the acutal display, I would rather have something functional than sexy. If I attract women with an expensive cell phone, odds are they won't be the kind to stick around very long, not to mention that most (not all) people blogging about sexy phones aren't working on the required social skills to talk to these sexy-phone-loving ladies anyways!

just my 2 cents

This phone has sick features....i just wish it was a little smaller. Too big for a pocket, but perfect for a purse

I currently have an iphone that i hacked and all that jazz blah blah blah blah. ok now i was wondering if i should really switch from the iphone to the g1. after everything i have read it now comes down to the video player. i saw a review that showed the videoplayer as really choppy and the video couldnt keep up with the movie and that basically scared me away. Now do you think that was due to the beta player he was using or can the phone not process video that well? but im back and want some of your F*ckin awesom guys' opinion lol. I just want to know the HONEST pros and cons and no propaganda. I'd really appreciate it. PLus when you insert the sd card does it take a long time for the card to load. i used to also have a helio ocean and it kind of sucked.

Let's talk more on http://www.G1-Forum.com
