MetroPCS adds Samsung Messenger
Samsung Messenger
(Credit: Samsung)MetroPCS is the first stop for Samsung's answer to the LG Rumor. The Samsung Messenger, also called the SCH-R450, offers a candy bar design with a 262,000-color display and a slide out keyboard to warm your text-loving heart. Though the phone's overall styling is rather bland, the feature set is respectable. Inside you'll find a 1.3-megapixel camera, an MP3 player, e-mail and instant messaging, stereo Bluetooth, USB mass storage, organizer features, a speakerphone, voice recognition, 20MB of internal storage, and an microSD card slot.
The Messenger costs $199, which may seem a tad expensive, but it's not so bad when you consider that MetroPCS does not make you sign your life away with a two-year contract.

2. Insert the microSD card into the memory card slot, located under the battery cover, on the left side of the handset.
3. Connect the USB cable to both the handset & the target PC.
4. Highlight USM, using the navigation keys, then press the OK button.
5. Once the USB connection has been established, the handset displays "Connected to PC" and the PC will show a pop-up removeable disk box.
6. Click on "Open folder to view files using Windows explorer" then click OK.
7. Right click on start then left click on Explore to open a second Windows explorer window.
8. Navigate to the location of the MP3 files then drag and drop them into either the My Music or My Ringtones folder.
* Note: In order to set an MP3, located on a memory card, as a ringtone it MUST be located in the My_Ringtones folder.
* Note: The MP3 files MUST reside in the My_Music folder in order to be played from the Music Player Library.
9. Now it is safe to unplug the USB cable from both the PC & handset to begin playing the MP3 files.
