Get a free donut from Krispy Kreme (today only)

If there's a Krispy Kreme near you, don't be surprised if it's the nexus of a stampede. Today, June 6, is National Donut Day (who knew?), meaning you can score yourself a free circle of glazed goodness. Check the Krispy Kreme store locator to find a shop near you.

Alas, my closest KK is 18.77 miles away; the gas would cost more than the donut. What does any of this have to do with technology? Nothing... but it's a free donut, people!

I almost always get free donuts at KK every time I've been there. They usually hand them out if there's a line--maybe that's changed since people realized it was killing them from the inside.

My local ones (in San Diego - only 2 stores now) stopped doing it a couple of years ago. I think they still give 'em to the kiddies, though.

Hey, it's Friday; I didn't see anything particularly compelling in the tech department; and who doesn't love donuts?! Geez, you shift gears once and everybody jumps all over ya, grumble grumble <g>

C'mon folks! The doughnuts are REALLY good, and yes, they usually hand them out while the hot light is on, but this is an all-day offer. Any day you're driving by and the hot light is on, stop in. You'll be glad you did. :-])

The first time I went into a Krispy Kreme and drooled at the sight of the production line (I don't know if all KKs have make the donuts on-site) they asked me if it was my first time there, and when I said yes they handed me a hot one off the line. WOW! was it good
