Get a Sony PSP 2000 for $109.99 shipped

It's rare to find deals on the Sony PlayStation Portable game console, but Dell has a hot one: The PSP 2000 for $109.99 shipped. That's 60 bucks off the regular price.
While this isn't the latest and greatest PSP, it's noteworthy for being slimmer and lighter than the original--and for receiving a CNET Editors' Choice award.
What's nice is that because the PSP's been around for so long, you can now score loads of used games on the cheap. (For example, here's Daxter Greatest Hits for $4.99 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for $17.99.)
Of course, perfect as the PSP's screen is for watching movies, Sony's UMD format never caught on (big surprise), so don't expect to find many options there.
There's not much left to say. If you're in the market for a killer portable game console, this is one of the best deals I've seen. But it's available today only, so don't wait if you plan to pull the trigger.

FYI to all you "homebrew" fans, the PSP-2001 that was shipped to me has the infamous v3 motherboard that makes your job a lot harder.
FYI to everyone else. Sony does not plan on ever release backward compatibility on PS3. I think Sony wants everyone to re-purchase their PS1 titles on PSN and later PS2 on the newer PSN or on the PS4. Its a joke to re-purchase those games only cause they added a new class or added CGI to the main game. The PS3 is only a fancy blu-ray player and console. I boycott sony because they took out a 20 dollar chip which is maybe cheaper now. Because they did away with backward compatibility.

If you have a PS3 what's really bad ass is that you can buy movies for like 10-15 dollars (depending on how new it is etc rendering the UMD movies useless) on the Playstation Video store and watch it on both your t.v. AND your PS3. You can STILL do this on the PSP via the Playstation Video Store direct on the PSP or you can do it through a PC using the Media Go software, but... the PS3->PSP Video store because you CAN back up the Video (or t..v. show) on ANY USB hard drive so that you can even build up a huge repetoire of digital movies you can watch on the PSP GO. Of course you could also wait for the PSP GO or buy a 16GB memory card for this 1.
Just remember the PSP GO will have NO UMD drive but will include a blu-tooth as well as a built in microphone for skyp (what this PSP lacks) Sony is working on a possible trade in system for the PSP but dang it just buy Patapon 2 off of the PSN. Seriously get this and buy Patapon 2. So much fun. Very bad game for traveling though because it requires a LOT of concentration and is REALLY complex (just doesn't seem like it)
PSP GO will be released in the fall, and will retail for about 250 (about the same price as a PSP and an 80GB card's regular price) and the PSP GO will be using a different memory card unit (M2) and have no compatible accessories. So keep that in mind.
Finally remember that there IS a chance you can get the PSP Go for 100 dollars because Sonystyle.com DOES offer 150 dollar credit on any credit card that you are approved of on a product that is 200 dollars or more. My recommendation? By the PSP Go! and spend 150 dollars with your new credit card on the PSN store exclusively. This is great for those that get a bit paranoid about using credit card information. The best part about it is that you can just put the credit card in a lock up box and never worry about it being stolen or even shred it or what ever.
Sorry for the long comment but I'm a wiz at electronics and I don't really like the iphone (want google phone) and the PSP Go is getting an app store as well.
So all in all here is the relevant and necessary information you need to now make an informed choice. Hope this helps.
Also, I needed memory for my PSP Slim & Lite and used the 8GB M2 with a Memory Stick Pro Duo adapter because it was cheaper than an 8GB Pro Duo by itself. I think Sony is forcing the M2 on PSP Go! users because there is already an adapter that can combine 2 SD Micro cards into one super Memory Stick Pro Duo card.
especially when you can spend 90 bucks more and get an iphone 3gs (i hate apple - so please dont call me an iphone lover).
