Remember the 24-inch rotating LCD for $199.99? Here's your chance to nab its 22-inch cousin for $139.99 shipped.

As with other Buy.com promotions of late, you have to use PayPal to get that price; otherwise, it's $149.99 (still an awesome deal).

Like the 24-incher, this "famous maker" liquid-crystal display is comparable to one of HP's monitors, namely the W2207H. In addition to the usual 1,680x1,050 resolution and 5ms response time, it features stereo speakers, a USB hub, and an HDCP-compliant HDMI input (in case you want to connect, say, a Blu-ray player).

The monitor can also rotate 90 degrees for portrait-mode computing, which is pretty slick for Web browsing, desktop publishing, spreadsheet...um, sheeting, and the like.

Because it's a refurb, the warranty expires after 90 days. That's the only real downside to this otherwise killer deal. It wasn't that long ago that I was crowing about feature-strapped 22-inchers for $199. Here's a fully loaded model for 60 bucks less. Yowza!

No offense but that tv is not a good deal. 1090p isn't the only important spec in a tv. I would keep looking.

42 inch is right around the border to where 1080p is useful or not. There is a limit to the usefullness of 1080p and it starts around that number. THere are a lot of 30 something inch t.v.s that won't get a lick of benefit from 1080p but allows the company to have a higher price.

I don't have that much money at all otherwise I'd be on that deal like crazy. I want to replace my VCR combo 19 inch t.v. with an HDCP compliant HDMI Monitor in my bedroom for my PS3 T_T

Oh well. I may have to wait about 3 months. That way I can both save up money AND get a discount card for Wal-Mart for 10 percent off most anything. Let's see what deals you'll be offering up then huh? :P

Buy.com sux! I ordered two of these monitors early in the morning using their PayPal promotion - however since I didn't use a verified PayPal address they refunded my transaction and cancelled my order. I have emailed and asked for them to modify the payment method and use my regular credit card - but you can't even get a response, let alone speak to a human.

Finally a great deal from Buy.com and I get shafted out of it. Buyer Beware!

I bought this monitor and it looks and performs fantastically. Many jealous co-workers. Great bargain.

I haven't been able to get the screen rotating feature to work however. I doesn't kick in automatically and I couldn't finagle the monitor controls or controls in Windows to adapt the desktop display to vertical. Not a big loss there, but if anyone knows how to do this let me know.

Usually there's software that handles the rotation stuff. Should have come bundled with the monitor.
