Scoop up dollar deals from eBay and Amazon

Stand back! My cheapskate senses are tingling! A new site called Daily Dollar Deals catalogs soon-to-end eBay auctions that have prices below $1. Just pick a category--anything from Antiques to Video Games--and you'll see a list of all under-a-buck auctions, sorted by time remaining. (You can also drill down into sub-categories to get more targeted listings, and there's a search option as well.)

Talk about a great way to scoop up bargains! Admittedly, sometimes the stuff that's selling for a buck isn't worth much more than that, but there are exceptions. For instance, I found four tickets for tonight's Pistons vs. Cavaliers game. Cheap seats, sure, but if I can take my whole family to see LeBron for 99 cents? Oh, yeah, I'm there. (But make no mistake: I'll be rooting for the Pistons.)

Daily Dollar Deals also offers a categorical list of Amazon products based on discount, from 10-90 percent. However, those numbers usually take into account used items as well as new--just something to keep in mind.

For anyone who loves the thrill of scoring dirt-cheap deals, I highly recommend bookmarking Daily Dollar Deals. My only concern is how much time I'll end up wasting there.

Thanks for the link, but I've seen some 8GB USB drives for around $15. Maybe one of these days I'll post one. :)

I liked it because it is one of those mini USB ((L)38.7 x (W)12.4 x (H) 3.7 mm) . Cheapskate had one for $10 for a 8 GB that I bought which is a regular sized flashdrive.

it's a good site, but realistically, most of the stuff I need to buy do not fall into the $1 category... I find that using http://www.retailmenot.com and http:www.searchalldeals.com together is more useful for me.

Thanks joekr2,
You can also visit our blog where you can find more deals from various sites (www.dailydollardeal.com/blog).

I also plan to allow users to change their deal threshold. For example, $1 for cars is a bit low.
Enjoy!

Hello Rick,

Thanks for mentioning about my site, it's really appreciated! I invite people to contact me and send any suggestion they might have as I try to improve the site whenever I have a chance.

There is more to come so keep an eye on the site, another "cheapskate" feature is coming up soon!

Your site doesn't render properly in IE7. Quite simply, it's broken.
I checked out the "dollar deals", since that was what this article referenced.

I thought I had no results as the main window to the right of the "categories" menu was just grey. But I noticed the scroll bar was long, so I scrolled down and I'm presuming whatever was squeezed into (but below) the 2" wide categories menu were my "results" - when I clicked a link (which I couldn't fully read), it opened an Ebay auction.

There's really no excuse for this, since 90% of the world uses IE.

I'm sure I'm not the only one - using IE 7, that website doesn't render correctly. BROKEN!
I thought I just kept getting "no results", until I scrolled down and saw that the content was somehow in the same frame as the menu - squeezed and truncated and mostly not visible.
I can't install alternative browsers given that this is a work computer- no excuse for not working in IE at any rate, since that's 90% of internet users.
That's a shame too - it sounded like the site had promise.
