During Road Trip 2009, CNET News Daniel Terdiman found himself at the top of this mountain, looking down at this rather impressive piece of infrastructure. But what, and where, is it? If you know the answers, and you're the first person to send it in, you'll win a prize.

Update (9:40 p.m.): The answer to today's challenge is that this is the "New Tram" that takes visitors to the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to the top of 10,450-foot Rendezvous Mountain.

THERMOPOLIS, Wyo.--Four weeks ago, I started Road Trip 2009, and now it's getting close to the end. But that doesn't mean that I'm not still driving nearly 200 miles each day, and taking myself to some of America's best spots.

One of those was this mountaintop vista, where I found myself looking back at this giant structure on the edge. Oddly, a whole lot of people were walking around on it.

For Sunday's Road Trip Picture of the Day challenge, I'm throwing out an easy one. Can you tell me where and what this is? If you're the first person to send me the correct answers to those two questions (by e-mail, to daniel--dot--terdiman--at--cnet--dot--com), you'll win a prize.

I'm guessing someone will get this one within ten minutes of it posting. Will it be you?

Good luck.

For the next ten days, Geek Gestalt will be on Road Trip 2009. After driving more than 12,000 miles in the Pacific Northwest, the Southwest and the Southeast over the last three years, I'll be writing about and photographing the best in technology, science, military, nature, aviation, and more in Wyoming and Colorado. If you have a suggestion for someplace to visit, drop me a line. And in the meantime, join the Road Trip 2009 Facebook page and follow my Twitter feed.

Daniel Terdiman is a staff writer at CNET News covering games, Net culture, and everything in between. E-mail Daniel.

oh c'mon! 200 miles a day is not a road trip by any means! every road trip i have ever been on (with family, friends, by myself), a "day's worth" of driving is at the low end 600 miles, high end 800. pfft, 200 miles.

In our family the best part of a road trip is the towns you stay in and the motels and the weird roadside attractions. The more stops the better so 200 is about right.

I respect the hard core road trippers who can pound out the miles tho.

I must admit, although I recognized this as the Tram at Rendezvous Mt, I was a little disappointed that this was the picture of the day in Jackson Hole! There are many beautiful and stunning natural wonders in that area that I was really hoping you would post a picture of a beautiful waterfall or Mtn lake as you have in some other places. The Tram is cool, but the mountains are better! :)
