Retina MacBook Pro orders delayed for some business users
Several enterprises customers tell MacRumors that their orders of Apple's new high-resolution laptops have been delayed by as much as a month.

Several recent buyers ordering the new notebook through Apple's enterprise channel revealed an increased delay to MacRumors. E-mails sent to customers from Apple stated that due to an unexpected delay, the MacBook Pro will not be shipping by the date they were quoted.
One e-mail published by MacRumors pointed to a new shipping date on or before July 25, as great as a month from the initial order. That contrasts with the original projected wait time of 7-10 business days.
No reason for the delay was revealed in Apple's e-mails. MacRumors noted that all the customers who reported the increased wait time customized the MacBook Pro with a 768GB solid-state drive but stuck with the 2.6 GHz processor standard on the higher-end model.
But the delay isn't just affecting business users.
Trying to order the Retina MacBook Pro through the online Apple Store revealed a wait time of 3-4 weeks no matter which model or configuration I chose.
That's a bump up from the 2-3 week wait time that quickly surfaced shortly after the notebook debuted a little more than two weeks ago. The non-Retina MacBook Pros and the MacBook Air are shown as in stock with no wait time, suggesting a possible supply shortage coupled with high demand for the high-resolution Retina model.
CNET contacted Apple for comment and will update the story if we get more information.
