Apple 'working hard' to bring iCloud worldwide
Apple confirms that it is trying to obtain the rights to bring Match and other iCloud features to other countries by the end of the year.
Apple managers today confirmed that the company is working hard to bring the iCloud and iTunes Match to other countries.
Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of Internet software and services, told attendees at Apple's press event that iCloud will be rolled out in the United States on October 12, while Match will be available at the end of the month and cost $24.99 per year. Cue said he hopes to have it in other countries by the end of the year.
CNET reported last week that Apple is in negotiations with the major record labels and publishers about obtaining worldwide cloud music rights.
