Lets be honest. Apple completely dropped the ball on this. <br />The touch is essentially completely unchanged.<br />The ipod classic had NOTHING, NADA ZIP added to it. (yes, included the 160 GB upgrade, they had that in 2007)<br />The shuffle is still an overpriced unusable POS.<br />the nano got legitimate upgrades that ALL ipods should have received.<br /><br />also,<br />a VIDEO CAMERA BUT NO STILL PICTURES? DUBYA T EFF?

Not to include the camera with any of the touch models was a HUGE mistake on Apples part considering the Zune comes out the 15th with better hardware and features. With the camera at least, the "new" touch players, if you can call them new would at least have something the ZuneHD would not have. <br />Major fubar Apple.

You are right about one thing, your comments are a colossal waste of time. You know nothing. If you don't buy the products you don't know anything about them other than what you read, and obviously you don't do that too well either.

@ywkhgqo...I COMPLETELY AGREE. <br />I AM SO DISAPPOINTED!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A 64/128GIG iTOUCH FOR 2YRS NOW. MY LIBRARY IS 45GIGS STRONG AND GROWING. MIND YOU, I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT APPLE ADDING A CAMERA BUT ONCE I HEARD ABOUT THE RUMORS MONTHS AGO, I WOULD NEVER, EVER PURCHASE THIS NEW iTOUCH UNTIL ITS FULLY UPGRADED. WHO WANTS TO THROW AWAY $400 JUST TO SEE APPLE MAKE MONEY BY HOLDING BACK TECHNOLOGY THEY COULD HAVE EASILY PUT OUT TODAY AND RELEASE IT MONTHS LATER. I'M SURE EITHER APRIL 2010 OR SEPTEMBER 2010 WE WILL SEE THE iTOUCH WITH BOTH STILL IMAGE AND VIDEO CAPABILITIES BUT DAMN... YOU ALREADY HAVE THE MARKET CORNERED ON THE DAMN MP3 PLAYERS YOU BASTARDS! STOP BEING GREEDY AND GIVE BACK ALREADY! THE ONLY THING BIG TODAY IS THE NANO. AND IF I HAD KIDS, MAYBE THEN I'D HAVE SOMETHING TO BE HAPPY ABOUT. UNTIL THEN, APPLE YOU F'IN SUCK! RESPECTIVELY.

To paraphrase the event:<br /><br />"Hey everyone we're really great. And everyone else? They are really bad. By the way here are some software updates. Did we mention that we are really great? And everyone else is really bad? Fantastic. Thanks for your time."<br /><br />It might be time for Apple to ditch the annual event and host events only when there is something to introduce.

The real insult will be if Apple "upgrades" the touch players with the camera a year later or even worse earlier. I then feel sorry for the people who bought this one....

Oh great! New colors for the iPod Shuffle! Now I can get one for working out....oh wait, they didn't mention anything on giving the headphone controls moisture resistance right? Dang... well pity me, I guess I should just buy me a Sansa Clip+ WHICH I CAN USE FOR WORKING OUT AND HAVE NORMAL WORKING CONTROLS!

Seems like apple went to sleep while steve was away - for the best part of a year they tweaked itunes, put a camera in the ipod touch and make osx a bit faster. Would really worry you about what is apple without jobs ?
