Dude, stick to guests and you are so ignorant about what American idol is about it was embarrassing. You are like a younger Andy Rooney....

Although I agree with most of your positions in this podcast (violent video games, Blockbuster, American Idol), this was probably the least enjoyable episode.
Most of what threw me off was the segways into non-tech topics and your vocalization of the RIAA, tomeg and (more unusual) your ex-girlfriend for the purpose of sarcasm and antagonization of their point of view.
I am the type of person that enjoys a healthy debate and an argument as long as it is not made personal in the way it was in this episode.
That being said, I enjoy the podcast immensely and I continue and will continue to listen for the interviews and your point of view, for in many cases it is my own as well.
I also liked the structure of the podcast, and would like for it to be in this way in the future.

In the rant over video game violence, you state "But I'm not going to tell someone else that they can't watch it or that they should go off the air" - but at the beginning of the show, weren't you calling for American Idol to go off the air?

If you want to mix up the structure of the podcast, maybe you should try a TWiT style group roundtable podcast once in a while

I agree your positions in this podcast ( American Idol, Blockbuster, violent video games). I take exception of the almost total negativity of this particular netcast. If I wanted this many rants in a row, I'd talk to my ex-wife.
I think you should talk to more parrents about the inappropriate advertisements in both the print and video media. For example the "Oh My Fxxxxxx God" posters at the bus stop by the local middle school. (They have been removed by a vigilante because those in authority were too afraid. $$$.)
Yes, you could take some pointers from TWIT.

I can't say that I enjoyed this last podcast, and I feel really bad that you ragged on American Idol (since I'm loving this season!), but the whole thing seemed pretty mean-spirited. The "Andy Rooney" hat doesn't suit you, although I agreed with your feelings about the lack of personal responsibility in this country, whether it relates to video games, TV or parenting. I'm also glad you ranted on the despicable RIAA again. I hope you return to more technical subjects in the future!

I typically enjoy your podcast and listening to your opinions, but this episode was very painful to listen to.

I have to say I loved this one. It reminded me of a few casts I used to listen to but for some reasons died out.
