In an announcement that is sure to excite digital home music fans everywhere, Sonos has announced that its Digital Music System will be available at over 440 Best Buy locations.
Released in the Spring of 2005, the Sonos' Digital Music System proved to be a bit ahead of its time. But with the push for more interaction with audio, Sonos' unique idea quickly became a leader in the digital home music market.
The Digital Music System is comprised of three unique and useful products: the ZonePlayer 80 (ZP80), ZonePlayer 100 (ZP) and the Sonos Controller (CR 100).
The ZP80 can be connected to an existing home theater system and act as the hub that allows music and audio to be streamed throughout the home. The ZP100 acts as a receiver and is connected to speakers in a different room. For easy access to your music or audio, the CR100 is a remote that features an LCD screen and allows you to pick and choose whatever you would like to listen to. In order to transmit audio from one room to another, each of these products are connected with the help of a wired or wireless network.
The ZonePlayer 80, ZonePlayer 100 and Sonos Controller are bundled together into a package called the Sonos Bundle U130 that will retail at Best Buy for $999.
Look for my hands-on impressions with the Bundle in the coming week.
