(Credit: Major Nelson/Microsoft)Microsoft announced on Tuesday that it has launched a new Xbox 360 Elite Holiday bundle.
Microsoft's new Xbox 360 Elite bundle features the Xbox 360 console, a wireless black controller, and copies of Lego Batman: The Videogame and action sports game Pure. According to the company, the Xbox 360 Elite Holiday Bundle starts shipping to retailers Tuesday. It will be available for $299.
Microsoft also announced the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Game Pack. That bundle features a black wireless controller and four Xbox Live Arcade titles--Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, Lumines Live, Bomberman Live, and a downloadable token for Ms. Pac-Man. The bundle also includes a free 48-hour Xbox Live Gold trial so users can try out the console's online experience. The Wireless Controller Game Pack will be available in November for $59.99.
Whether Microsoft's new bundles will attract consumer attention is up for debate. The games included in the Xbox 360 Elite Holiday Bundle aren't killer titles. In fact, this bundle pales in comparison to a previous Xbox 360 Elite offering, featuring Fable II and Halo 3. That bundle was originally priced at $400. It's still available, but it now features the same price as Microsoft's holiday bundle: $300.

but i really dont care cause ill get my M.W.2 xbox long before i look at this thing
This looks like it might be aimed more at smaller kids, but I would think parents would be more interested in a less expensive system (ala Wii) than an Xbox for their smaller children.
The bundle with Halo in it sounds good though. Wonder if someone at MS goofed.
calm down princess
Tell me how CoD is different on 360 vs. PS3. I also have both systems and can tell you that the biggest difference is that on the PSN I've never gone into a lobby and had to listen to "N***er N***er N***er N***er N***er N***er N***er ... your mom is a dirty ho!".
You know, I haven't had a 360 for about a year or so now. I'm looking at this "deal" and wondering why they're including crap games in these bundles that have been out for a while. I wonder if they're including the red ring of death along with the wireless controller.
The reason I even care is because my son has the (my old) 360 and it recently died with the ring. I can either buy him a new 360 or just get him a PS3. Thing is he has a ton of games and controllers. That has to be worth something.
Yeah, I know, I'm trolling. But I went PS3 and after years and years of xbox gaming, I'm so glad I made the change. I do like the 360 controller better though but who cares. I don't have to F around with hardware issues any longer. Haven't had one freeze up. It just works. What a novel idea !
It's funny when MS fanboys say Blu-ray who needs it. I say Red-ring who needs that.
Between a lame holiday offering for the 360, and the ever-so-lame attempts to launch Win7, Microsoft's marketing department needs a serious overhaul.
Wifi on the ps3 has been lag free for me......NO problems at all
I think these bundles would sell better if the included a year free on line to the xbox network or whatever they call it. You see I wouldn't know what its called since right when I was about to find out, my friends xbox decided to "ROD" on us......hahahahahahaha........thank you sony for making a console that does everything and that actually works when you need it too
@ Absolution I have a fat model 40 gb so maybe they run slower than the new slim models but I don't plan on buying one unless they upgrade the wifi or If the red special edition God of War one looks hot (speculation).
I'd also like to complain about my non dual shock controller that I was cursed with just becauseSONY decided not to settle a lawsuit in time.
How's this for a bundle choice: Gaming system with blu-ray, or gaming system with Red-ring? Both starting at $299.
The last PS3 bundle had two solid, exclusive titles with it in Killzone 2 and MSG4 and those didn't last long on Best Buy's shelves.
