okay, so i admit i may have drank the kool-aid on many apple products, but ... i'm not 100% on side with you on this one. easy, sexy and cool are one thing ... but price and utility are also factors. i use my macbook pro and my pc everyday. i can't think of ever getting the feature set for the price on my pc in the mac universe. you must have read about steve jobs and the reality distortion field? it's very powerful.

love your stuff don!

There are three companies that really dominate and are really different. Google, Apple and Amazon. The companies that were great are Microsoft, Ebay and Yahoo. Up and coming companies Netflix, Hulu and Twitter. The new bubble is Social Networking sites. The balloon will soon bust, we need only one.

The one company that can beat Apple is Google. Google has more potential than any other company to do things better than Apple. With it's open platform and presence all over the web and now mobile community I think it is only a matter of time before Apple finds itself in Google's shadow. Just as Microsoft is now struggling against Apple.

I disagree,Apple is an elitist brand and in a down financial market which we are presently in i doubt if Apple will have very good numbers in the 4th quarter. As long as the economy is churning along as has recently been, true,Apple will thrive-if not as it is now Apple will not do as well as the Windows model.I think you`ll find the Windows based products doing much better then Apple`s model this hoilday season.

The economy has been in "recession mode" for the past year or so but yet they keep posting record profits.

What an uninformed rant!

Have you even tried some of Dell's latest laptops? Probably not. The new Precision and Latitude lines are great.

And it's not like Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc have a choice in sticking with Windows. They could all make a killing selling cheaper OS X laptops but Jobs won't allow it.

Go Psystar!!! Maybe Apple's control over OS X will be wrestled from Job's gaunt little arms with a little help from the US courts.

Keep on dreaming, you can't force a company to release their software onto the machines you want because you can't afford it.
