The Digital Home Video: Hands-on with Mario Super Sluggers

by Don Reisinger

Mario Super Sluggers has been out for a couple weeks and now it's time I tell you about it. I've had the opportunity to play it since before its release, so I decided to perform a hands-on today. See how many "Dons" it receives.

And as always, drop me a line or follow me on Twitter!

Ive been in the mood for a good baseball game, but I don't think I have played a baseball game that I liked since the Ken Griffey Jr. games years ago. I would probably have liked some of the newer ones better, but im not a huge fan of the hitting mechanic in newer games. I will admit I haven't tried anything on the new generation of consoles. I might find something used tonight at Gamestop when I go to pick up Spore, but I think if I want a good baseball game, I will have to dust off some of my old consoles.

4 dons? That's a bit generous bud - to echo your thoughts, cool game but pretty basic and shallow game play... 2.5 would have been fair. looking forward to next Friday's review...

My feelings exactly. I don't think Don could have looked more bored while saying the word "fun". I wasn't expecting anything more than a 3.
