I would be curious if Don could give ONE credible reason for hating Vista. Have you even used it as an OS? Or are you one of those "techies" who heard are the trash taling and jumped on the hater band wagon?

AGGGH! Ok I love this show and never comment on anything, but I just have to say this as a person who uses and owns both macs and pcs. VISTA DOESN'T STINK. It is so much better in almost every way to xp and everyone in the tech media piles onto this bandwagon without giving any real reasons. It does run like crap on older systems just as xp did on old systems when everyone had 98. I just loaded xp on a laptop thinking it would be better to eek out performance in an old laptop and I miss literally 50 changes every day I work on that system....That is all. Otherwise I love the show!

I agree with you. I usually tend to agree with Don about the stuff he talks about, but every time he brings up Vista the situation totally turns around. I even had to skip the segment during this episode, because I just couldn't listen it without getting angry.

As hafenbrack says, it seems that Don is merely bashing Vista because that's "the thing". And that's a shame, because I really respect Don for most of the other things he do.

After 5 years, Firefox faces new challenges

Mozilla helped reshape the Web since releasing Firefox 1.0 five years ago. Now it's got a reawakened Microsoft and Google Chrome to reckon with.

There's a map for that: GPS or smartphone?

Almost every handset comes with mapping software these days, but standalone GPS devices are becoming more affordable than ever.
