The iPad-maker decided to live stream its event this time around, but the stream only worked on newer versions of Safari and Apple TV. The archived video is also available for viewers using QuickTime 7 on Windows.
In contrast, Apple didn't do a live stream of its iPhone launch in June, deciding instead to make a video available afterward for viewers with QuickTime 7 on Windows, as well as Safari and Apple TV users.
The video stream of Tuesday's event requires Safari 4 or later on OS X v10.6 or later -- or Safari on iOS 4.2 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 5.0.2 or later.
