Yahoo President Sue Decker says the Internet company remains in "engaged" in "ongoing" discussions with Microsoft, according to a CNBC report Wednesday.

Decker, who is serving as a keynote speaker at Advertising 2.0 in New York, reportedly made those comments during the event.

Shares of Yahoo were up 2 percent to $26.68 in early-market trading. The broader markets are mixed.

Decker, meanwhile, is scheduled to appear on CNBC's "Power Lunch" at 9 a.m. PDT later Wednesday morning.

They might as well merge.
Everything on Yahoo has gotten more and more Microsoft like... The Yahoo home page used to be neat and trim now it is overkill. Yahoo used to be nice and simple... Not it is more a resource hog... I say let 'em merge. I'm almost totally shifted to Google now anyways.
