Microsoft CEO to make 'significant' announcement
Microsoft's top brass will hold a teleconference on Thursday morning to make a "significant company announcement" that is unrelated to the takeover attempt of Yahoo.
A media alert sent on Thursday said that CEO Steve Ballmer, Chief Software Architect Ray Ozzie, Senior Vice President of Server and Tools Business Bob Muglia, and General Counsel for Legal and Corporate Affairs Brad Smith will be on the call.
The company did not specify the content of the announcement except to say that it is not related to its proposed multibillion-dollar acquisition of rival Yahoo.
