Leaked Leopard loose, lawyers looming?
The beta copy of Leopard, the next version of Mac OS X handed to developers last week by Apple, is available on a file-sharing site for downloading.
Sure, you can conquer time and spaces, but can you conquer litigators?
(Credit: Apple)Apple's legal department tends to frown on things like that. Or, at least they did when the same thing happened with a beta copy of Tiger, the current version of Mac OS X released in April of 2005. Crunchgear spotted the build, code-named "9A466" on a U.K. site called Oink, and it's currently on PirateBay.
Commenters on Crunchgear's site said the build had been pulled from Oink, but it's still available on PirateBay as of this writing. Leopard is scheduled to be legally released in October.

that they should be entitled to have everything digital (movies,
music, software. etc) online for free at all times.
So lets say you spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars
creating something, share it with people to build their
applications around it in an effort to help you make your product
better and they, despite promising to keep it under wraps,
decide, screw you, im giving it to the world. thats ok?
i dont think so. paying for a broadband account has no bearing
whatsoever on you having access to items you have not
purchased. if you want free software, go use linux, want free
movies, watch tv, want free music, go listen to a street musician
or in an elevator, but as a business owner i take umbrage with
the idea that someone protecting their IP, their product is
somehow wrong when its being accessed or used illegally.
no its still there, with +500 seeders!
