Joost goes indie with latest content deal

by

Another day, another Joost content deal. Last week the video-sharing start-up from the founders of Skype and Kazaa became one of the partners in CBS' new online video-sharing network. Now it's going for the other end of the spectrum--on Monday, Joost announced that it has inked an agreement with several providers of indie film and TV content.

The new partners in the deal include several production companies, mostly based in the U.S. or U.K.: All3Media International, Alliance Atlantis, September Films and Wall to Wall, as well as distributors IndieFlix and Shorts International. Continuing Joost's streak of partnering with companies that offer multilingual, international content, Shorts International will be offering content in French and Spanish as well as in English.
