After 12 months, Microsoft is gearing up to tweak the proverbial deck chairs once again on its Windows Live efforts, according to Mary Jo Foley's blog, "An unblinking eye on Microsoft."

Blake Irving, corporate vice president of the Windows Live Platform group, is apparently resigning--a move that comes approximately 12 months after he was named to his current post, Foley noted in her blog.

Microsoft initiated the executive realignment a year ago to better position its Windows unit and online MSN operations with its Live strategy.
