So no one knows about RSS--who cares?
It doesn't take much to throw the blogosphere into a tizzy. And if someone dares to challenge something as fundamental as blog popularity or related technology, stand back and watch the sparks fly.

The ever-contrarian Dead2.0 (whose motto is "Anti-Hyping Web 2.0 Since 2006!) opened a spirited debate while pointing to some statistics showing that about 90 percent of the public has no idea what RSS is.
Blogma, which studiously avoids taking a stand on anything controversial, thinks it's far too soon to write off Real Simple Syndication--the lifeline distribution mechanism for most bloggers. After all, there was a time not long ago that people hadn't heard of the Internet either.
Blog community response:
"Remember the old saw? Would you rather have $100,000 today or a penny doubled every day for a month? I can hang out and watch the doubling effect. Why is RSS usage going to continue to double? Influencers are doing it."
--Scobelizer
"How come something so simple seem so complicated to others? RSS has changed the way I look at news and email. I think sooner or later it will catch on. At least I hope so."
--My Clump
"RSS adoption is on the brink of an even-more massive explosion in growth, in spite of the fact that RSS usability has hardly budged since its inception. Even if usability doesn't improve, strong growth will continue; usability problems haven't stopped RSS so far."
