Music fans wishing to download RealNetworks media player will have the option of also receiving Mozilla's Firefox Web browser under a new agreement between the companies.
The deal is part of a prior two-year agreement that RealNetworks struck with Google to include the search engine's toolbar with downloads of the RealPlayer, according to RealNetworks spokesman Matt Graves.
That agreement was extended, as well as expanded to include Firefox, he said. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Google's toolbar and Firefox will soon be available to people downloading RealPlayer, Rhapsody music service and RealArcade games.
Real distributes more than 2 million pieces of software daily, the company said in a statement.
