Yahoo TV offers top 9 weird Web clips

In a nod to Entertainment Tonight, Yahoo has launched a beta of a TV-like online video show called "The 9" that features the requisite tan, blond and thin hostess talking about nine of the "best, weirdest, and funniest photos, sites, stories, and videos on the 'net."

The 9, part of Yahoo TV, promises to post the package by 9 a.m. (doesn't say whether that's Pacific Time). Viewers can send stories and links in and vote on their favorites. The site is accessible at 9.yahoo.com.

My favorites on Wednesday were an interactive photo Web site that features photos within pixels of other photos in a never ending cycle of clicks from Getty Images and Poodle Fitness, a bizarre exercise video featuring standard poodles with human bodies lifting weights. How do they do it? I was riveted.

The other choices for Wednesday were less fascinating--a composite of someone's vision of what the mystery Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes baby, Suri, will look like; a David Hasselhoff music video; and video of a particularly unsophisticated Newlywed Show contestant.
