Dell to unveil new recycling program Wednesday
Michael Dell himself plans to host a conference call on Wednesday outlining a new recycling program at Dell, the PC company announced late Monday.
Computer companies are turning green these days, with most having acknowledged the harmful effects their products can have on the environment without proper disposal. There's still tons of work that needs to be done to prevent old PCs from polluting the earth, but the situation has improved dramatically over the past few years, according to PC recycling experts.
Dell has received high marks in the past from the Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition for its recycling programs. The company will pick up your old PC for free if you buy a new Dell PC, and for a fee it will pick up old PCs without your having to buy a Dell.
