GPS device speaks up to keep you fit
Running on the treadmill just got a lot less lonely.
Motion Lingo's new GPS-guided workout-monitoring device, the Motion Lingo Adeo Fitness Companion, promises to tell you how fast you're moving, how far you've gone and how many calories you've burned--by announcing the information out loud. It works by itself or plugged into an MP3 player, so you can also incorporate the announcements into your workout tunes. The 2.1-ounce product, powered by a single lithium ion battery, briefly lowers the music pumping through your earbuds to give you the skinny on how much fat you're burning.

Apparently you can customize the updates by picking the voice and how often it apprises you of your progress.
Once you're thoroughly exhausted and dripping with sweat, all those statistics you've compiled can be downloaded directly to your computer (PC or Mac) via the device's USB port. Finally, you can evaluate your exercise progress with the included tracking software.
Paying the $149.99 price tag grants you access to the online MotionLingo club, which allows you to browse the sport-specific blogs and message boards, compare notes on how fit you are, or at least get some moral support. CNET Reviews found the software interface confusing, but generally liked the product.
