Quote of the Day: A clear message to tax evaders

Using license plate scanners and specially equipped vans, a British government agency aims to double the number of illegal vehicles it takes off the road by identifying and immediately seizing any with unpaid road taxes.

"We are sending out a clear message today to the small, hard core of evaders who have no intention of paying tax(es). We will take your car; no more warnings," said Transport Minister Stephen Ladyman. "These antisocial drivers often have no insurance, drive unsafe vehicles and are involved in wider criminal activity."

Wow, he's tough. But at least one Wikipedia contributor might think Ladyman a bit hypocritical.
