Buy.com is featuring an 19-inch widescreen LCD monitor from Acer for $183.95. Usually, the monitor costs $229. The company is tossing in free shipping. The wide screen, though, means the resolution is different--at 1440 by 900 pixels--than the more conventional squarish monitors, which sport a 1280 x 1024 resolution.

Circuit City, meanwhile, is having an inventory blowout on a 19-inch LCD from StarLogic. It sells for $189, but that's after a $60 mail-in rebate, and everyone knows how much fun that it.

Generally, monitors can cost anywhere from $230 to $340, depending on the brand and the features.
