A transparent laptop screen? It sure sounds like a trick, but even a blog called Mighty Optical Illusions concedes that it's stumped by this one. The site is so baffled, in fact, that it is asking for help in figuring out this illusion, which is demonstrated in this video clip.

Hmm. I wonder why isn't this possible?

Even if you can't create a transparent screen, you can still make it appear transparent!

All you have to do in y opinion is, attach a miniature camera to the back of your screen with good resolution and you have to take the input video stream and direct it to the wallpaper as an active changing wallpaper. (This is called DirectX wallpaper in Windows world. Many software like VLC player allow you to play a movie as your wallpaper!)
