You've been looking forward to this party and you're having a great time! Your phone rings and you set your cup down. When you go to retrieve it, you discover that your perfectly blended vanilla vodka and soda has disappeared into an endless sea of plastic-cup clones. What do you do?

Now that the Etch-it Party Cup has arrived on the scene, the days of perusing drool stains, lipstick smudges and floating cigarettes are finally over. And for hosts, less cups mean less cleanup.

The way it works is simple: On the side of each cup is a paper sleeve that peels back to reveal a waxy black surface that can be marked with a fingernail. No pens needed.

The 16 oz. cups are sold in 12- and 40-count packages in red, blue or clear. A pack of 40 goes for $10.

Specialized cups with slogans or coupons printed on the underside of the peel-away paper are also available, and be on the lookout for water bottles and sports drinks sporting the patented sketch-able surface in the future.

As long as you manage to remember your name or at least identify your own handiwork, getting smashed and partying hard has just gotten a heck of a lot easier--and less gross.
